Service guide
Questions before your reel hits the bench.
Clear answers on selecting service, preparing your order, and getting the reel to and from Reel Quick Fix.
Before service
Which service should I choose?
Choose routine maintenance when the reel is working but needs a thorough clean, fresh lubrication, and preventive inspection. Choose a repair-focused service when there is a specific symptom such as grinding, binding, inconsistent drag, slipping anti-reverse, poor engagement, or visible damage.
Include the reel make and model plus a clear description of the problem. If the best path changes after inspection, Reel Quick Fix will explain what was found before additional work moves forward.
How long does service take?
Turnaround depends on current bench volume, reel condition, and parts availability. Timing begins after the reel is received and intake is complete; shipping time is separate.
A reel that needs hard-to-source parts or additional approval may take longer. You will be contacted if the inspection changes the expected schedule.
Do I need to pay before my appointment?
Yes. Complete payment for the selected service before the appointment is confirmed or the reel is sent in. This connects the reel to the correct order and keeps intake moving when it arrives.
If inspection reveals work outside the purchased service, you will receive an explanation and any added cost before that additional work is performed.
Should I send photos before service?
Photos are helpful for visible damage, missing exterior parts, corrosion, or an unusual setup. Send clear images of the full reel, the model marking, and close-ups of the problem area.
Photos can help with initial guidance, but they do not replace a hands-on inspection of internal components.
Shipping
Is a shipping label provided?
Use a tracked shipping service and create the label for the package going to Reel Quick Fix. Keep the tracking number and consider insurance appropriate to the reel's value.
Return-shipping arrangements are handled with the service order. Make sure the return address on your order is complete and current before sending the reel.
Where do I ship my reel?
Package the reel securely, include your name and order information inside the box, and ship it to the address shown below.

Which address will you use to return my reel?
The reel will be returned to the shipping address attached to your service order. Review it carefully before checkout and contact Reel Quick Fix before return shipment if it changes.
Do not place a different return address only on a loose note in the box; the order record should match the destination you want used.
